About Me
Chief Systems Engineer ยท DevOps | Back-end
I studied Mechatronics Engineering in Monterrey, Mexico, and spent a year in Germany through a DAAD scholarship — six months studying at Brandenburg University of Technology and an internship at Fraunhofer. That mix of hardware, software, and a bit of cultural shock shaped how I approach problems today.
I started my career at Lenovo in 2018, working on x86 hyperscale servers. What began as test engineering quickly turned into building internal tools with Django and Python, managing databases, and deploying apps on Linux servers. I earned a Six Sigma Green Belt there, and by the time I left I was designing real-time tracking systems with Docker and React.
From there I moved to 3Pillar Global, where I wore the DevOps and back-end hats at the same time. That's where I really got into Terraform, AWS architectures, and started conducting technical interviews.
These days I'm a Chief Systems Engineer at EPAM, leading cloud migrations, mentoring senior engineers, and interviewing for DevOps and Solutions Architect roles. No two weeks look the same.
Along the way I've picked up 8 certifications across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes — including a couple of Early Adopter badges for AWS ML Engineer and AI Practitioner. I speak Spanish, English, German, and Japanese.
I'm based in Monterrey, Mexico. Outside of work, I'm usually tinkering with side projects, studying for the next cert, or doing another playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas.
